I come from a fundraising family so the idea to turn the Super Star Theater into a fundraising opportunity to help children came naturally.
Over the past 20 years, my family and friends have raised more than 1 million dollars for brain tumor research in memory of our brother Joel. We are all amazed at what our small grass roots effort has managed to accomplish.
As a child, I always knew I would do something creative, so I went to art school in Philadelphia and then worked as a designer in New York and Paris, where I met my husband. We came back to the US and started our own design company. Once we had children, I was inspired to create products for them – products that I would have loved as a child.
My hopes and dreams are that I can inspire children and families to use their creativity to make a difference in the world by helping others.
