Super Star Theater Community Guidelines

Hey, Kids! And Moms and Dads, too!
Welcome to the Super Star Theater where children and families can make a difference in the world by helping other children!

Super Star Theater can be lots of fun for everyone and it’s easy to upload your favorite videos to share your performances with grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends!

In order to make this a safe and valuable place for children we must have some rules.

These rules are simple to follow, so before you send us your videos take a minute or two to read about what type of content may NOT be appropriate for our Website.

What You Should Send

Send us your videos that Mom, Dad or another responsible person films of you putting on shows. Videos can be short and simple or more elaborate. Performances can consist of any type of performing arts including, singing, dancing, plays, puppet shows, comedy acts (telling funny jokes), musicals (playing musical instruments), magic shows, the sharing of interesting trivia or facts, story telling and more! You can make up adventure stories or act out fairy tales or scenes from some of your favorite TV show or movies. Let your imagination take off! The skies the limit! To sum it up, as long as your video is genuine and of some type of performance or presentation on stage – indoors or out, we will accept it.

What You Shouldn’t Send

This list is a lot longer so maybe Mom or Dad should make sure they read it.

For starters, we will decide what is inappropriate. We tend to err on the side of caution, which means if we have the slightest doubt that your content is not acceptable to young children we will block it from the Website.
Super Star Theater will not display nudity, pornography or sexually explicit content. Furthermore, if the video appears to exploit children, we will turn it over, along with any other information we have about you (your e-mail address, for example), to law enforcement.
We will not display abuse of animals. We will not display drug abuse. We will not display videos demonstrating use of firearms or other weapons or explaining how to make bombs or weapons.
We don’t permit depictions of graphic violence. If your video shows someone getting hurt, attacked or humiliated we will not display it. Of course, kids might want to use their theaters to depict cartoonish violence. That is OK, but we will decide whether the violence is more akin to Punch and Judy, which is acceptable, or to Itchy and Scratchy, which is not.
Only send us videos that you make. Don’t send us someone else’s video. There may be a copyright protection on the video that you don’t know about. And if you don’t know about it we won’t know, either. Read our Terms of Use for a fuller explanation of what constitutes a copyrighted video.
We don’t accept videos that attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, nationality or ethnic group.
We have a Privacy Policy that protects the privacy of individuals who establish accounts with us. We do not tolerate the invasions of their privacies. Anyone caught mining our Website for the personal information of account holders will be barred from access to the site. Also, we will notify the appropriate law enforcement agencies of their activities. Please read out Privacy Policy for a fuller understanding of how we protect the privacy of our users.
We try to look at everything that is posted on our Website but in case we miss something that is offensive we hope you point it out to us. We will respond quickly to your concerns.

OK, that’s enough talk about rules and inappropriate content. We believe that you’ve come to this Website to post the videos of your Super Star Theater shows and not to look for ways to break the rules.

We also hope you look at other videos on the site and add comments. Do you think the shows are fun to watch? Let us know. We’ll post your comments. That may be a way for you to get in touch with others kids who use their Super Star Theaters to make videos. You may want to exchange ideas or share stories with each other.
